All starter plants will be the same variety or color. Plants are sold by tray, they cannot be split or mixed with other varieties.
Grown in a standard 10" x 20" tray. Each plant has roots established in plug/soil. Plug will keep the roots intact, so there will not be any transplant shock. PEST FREE plants from CERTIFIED NURSERY.
Ajuga reptans feature a spring flourish of rich blue flower spikes. ‘Catlin’s Giant’ A “giant” only by comparison to its siblings, with extra-large, purple-green leaves. Flower spikes “tower” all the way up to a dizzying ten inches.
CULTURE NOTES
Forms low clumps of foliage. Flowering height 4-10” depending on variety. In the landscape, Ajuga reptans spreads slowly by rhizomes. Be careful of planting it too near lawns. Ajuga likes rich soil, moist but well drained, but is surprisingly drought-tolerant. It can handle shade, part shade, and even full sun if kept adequately irrigated. It’s happiest and most attractive in dappled shade, or with a few hours of direct sun per day. Hardy in USDA Zones 3-9. These spring bloomers will reward you richly for thinking ahead. You’ll have beautifully bulked, deeply rooted plants just waiting for a little warmth and lengthening days to burst out of dormancy into dazzling displays of pent-up flower power.
