All starter plants will be the same variety or color. Plants are sold by tray, they cannot be split or mixed with other varieties.
Grown in a standard 10" x 20" tray. Each plant has roots established in plug/soil. Plug will keep the roots intact, so there will not be any transplant shock. PEST FREE plants from CERTIFIED NURSERY.
Here’s a Heuchera that starts hot and stays hot in three seasons.
New growth comes out fiery red with strongly curled edges, then matures to deep maroon. Later in the year, purple tinges appear. With all three hues in view at the same time, this is one smokin’ perennial!
Like many modern forms, ‘Melting Fire’ is grown mainly for its foliage. But small, bell-shaped white flowers on wiry stems enhance its appearance each spring
And this premium variety has a secret hidden in its flickering foliage: It’s seed-propagated, so it helps growers keep input costs down compared to those that can only be done from tissue culture.
CULTURE NOTES
Location: ‘Melting Fire’ handles full sun as well as any Heuchera, but nearly all varieties are happier with partial shade, especially during the hottest part of the day.
Thirst: Heuchera likes its soil not too wet, not too dry, more right down the middle – and well drained.
Size: ‘Melting Fire’ forms compact mounds about a foot across and 18” tall in flower. A single 72-size liner will fill out containers from 1 quart to 1 gallon.
Hardiness: Hardy in USDA Zones 4 – 9.
History: The genus encompasses over 50 species, and is native to North America. But its name honors Johann Heinrich von Heucher (1677-1747) of Wittenburg University, Germany.

Orders placed between Friday and Sunday night will be shipped on the second Monday following. Orders will be shipped via ground or express service based on your location. Delivery takes 4 days maximum from ship day.
